If you buy one and one coat only this winter, make it a shearling one.
Not only was shearling the biggest hit on almost all of the autumn/winter runways, but it just so happens to also be super comfy and majorly cosy in the warmth department. Still not enough to sway you towards the hit of the season? Shearling means seventies, and the seventies are well and truly set to stay for autumn/winter. I can only apologise if you weren't completely in love with the trend last season (although what's not to love?!) but the richer tones of seventies winter might just win you over. Seen on the likes of Burberry, Ralph Lauren and of course Chloe, the sheepskin/shearling situation is set to be huge.
I for one couldn't wait to snap up a shearling coat, although searching for the perfect one for you may be a tad more strenuous than you might think. The high street has slowly began trickling out new season pieces, and I managed to snap up this uber affordable (at least compared to Chloe prices anyway) jacket from Zara. I love that for once its the perfect length on me, as I so often find that jackets seem to come up a little short on myself. I've added some alternatives below, in varying prices! I've paired It here with the obligatory cropped flares, having already owned these numbers in original denim, I was excited to see that they now come in black, and a neckerchief to finish off the look.
