ALL OVER THE OVERSIZED

In the current climate, there's nothing I love better than layering up and wearing big oversized jumpers! I'm constantly on the look out for different ways to wear my favourite styles, and more recently I thought i'd give the whole oversized on oversized look a try. It's safe to say I'll never go back!! I'm OBSESSED. There's just something about the silhouettes together that looks super classic and stylish, yet cosy warm all at the same time, the perfect combination.

I'm all for leather for autumn/winter, and was so pleased to find this leather look midi skirt beauty over on boohoo! I made a few cheeky purchases thanks to a lovely gift voucher that I picked up at the boohoo ss15 press day, so look out for those in the coming posts. I'm also completely obsessed with this jumper/top from Topshop, anything oversized and a ribbed knit is a yes in my book! It also comes in a beautiful burgundy, and oh so perfect black, so I'm sure I'll be back for more.

SUIT UP!

Today I'm feeling extremely sophisticated, with a hint to that androgynous masculine vibe! I love to see women wearing suits, that tailored look is so sharp, and I think it's the kind of look that anyone can pull off! In most cases, I'd say that a minimalistic heel would be the perfect accompaniment to a suit two piece, but for myself, everyday wear is much easier to wear a flat. I also love the look of a 7/8th trouser with a brogue, hence today's get up!

Now I may be deceiving you ever so slightly, as this suit isn't actually a two piece, in fact its separate's from two completely different stores, but I really think it works! I tried to put a bit of a fun spin on the trend, so I decided to wear this Missguided tailored cape, rather than the usual blazer. It's definitely my new staple piece for the season, I wore it shopping just last weekend with jeans and boots, leaving me feeling effortlessly stylish, yet practical and comfy! I've got my eye on the white one also, and I'm hoping for a few more colours to be available, I'll have them all if so!

BURGUNDY BABY

Can you tell I love burgundy?! Only a little bit right haha! Apologies that you have seen this jumper before, I just couldn't resist styling it up in a different way! I think it's important as a blogger to show that you wear pieces more than once, it would be completely and utterly ridiculous to portray an image that I have new clothes every single day, that is most definitely not the case!! Even with Primark's prices I couldn't contend with that haha. I also love being able to wear the same item in lots of different ways, it shows the piece's versatility but also means you get your wear out of it, so good all round!

I'm completely in love with the texture of this skirt. I'm not entirely sure how to explain it to you, it's kind of a mock croc/snakeskin pleather PVC kind of vibe. I actually spotted this back in September, at the Shopcade shoot, and needed it ever since. I'll be wearing it with a fluffy bralet and strappy heels for a night-time look!

THESE BOOTS ARE MADE FOR WALKING

Hello my lovelies! I promise I'm not going to use my blog as a way to vent haha, so I shall keep this very sweet and short.  I have had the week from HELL! Basically a combination of a complication with my up and coming trip to Paris, resulting in me and my boyfriend believing we were no longer going, and then my car breaking down at literally the most inconvenient time possible (both time wise and moneywise, payday I need you!!). So yes this week has been a full on write off, so sorry for the lack of posts! Thankfully all problems have now been solved and we are back in business!

If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I'm a sucker for shoes. Shoes, boots, heels you name it I want them! And with my current favourites being lace ups, when I spotted these lace up knee high boots I literally fell in love. Not only do they kill two birds with one stone trend wise, they're super affordable and look SO expensive. The heel is quite high, so I would say they are probably not your everyday kind of boot, that is unless your used to wearing five inch heels on a daily basis. But for the regular folk like myself, I'll be keeping these for special occasions. I've worn them here with my fav oatmeal roll neck, and this beautiful asymmetric skirt.

HOW TO WEAR A CO-ORD IN WINTER

Hope you've all had a lovely Sunday! The weekend's seem to go so fast, I literally blink and swear it's Monday again! (booo). The temperature also seems to be dropping rather rapidly, I cant quite bring myself to put the tights on just yet though. As much as I know they are practical, they seem to dull down any outfits, especially black ones, that's just a whole load of black!

I'm majorly obsessed with today's look. Monochrome is so easy to wear, I find I definitely tend to lean more towards blacks and whites In winter, my wardrobe becomes very anti-colour! Grid print has been huge over the past couple of seasons, so when I spotted this amazing knitted co-ord (A mega practical autumn/winter version of the summery co-ords that were EVERYWHERE last season), I literally couldn't resist. Big love to Robyn from Missguided for sorting me out hehe. I'll be wearing these pieces as separates also, but for now I'm keeping the two together for maximum impact!
