SASSY SILHOUETTES

Ok so I must admit, I was a tiny bit cold wearing this outfit out and about. I hadn't quite anticipated the two thousand million gale force winds that were going to attack me and my waistcoat! I could definitely have done with a set of thermal tights also, I'm terrible for feeling the cold.

Anyway I hope you're all as excited about Christmas as I am! Still LOTS to do of course, but I absolutely love the festive period. Today's look is something I've wanted to try for a while, taking major inspo from Olivia Palermo (the only woman alive that could wear knitwear on her wedding day and look ultimately amazing!). A long waistcoat is not something I have previously owned, but I'm liking the way the silhouettes are made when contrasted with these lace up heeled knee highs. If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that I've had these boots a little while now, and they are utterly amazing. If you're after a pair then follow the link I'll pop below for an absolute bargain as you can currently get them for half price at only £22, completely too hot a deal to miss!

FURRY BABY

Happy One Week Until Christmas everyone! How very exciting! In the midst of everything that's going on at the moment I realised today that I still have a whole load of Christmas shopping to sort out, arggh! I managed to grab a few bits I needed online today, and luckily have a final shopping trip planned to Meadowhall Sheffield (my favourite place on earth) next Monday, so hopefully I should be ready for wrapping after then.

Today's look is a bit of a recreation of a super cosy look I sported whilst away on holiday in freezing France. The day we went to Disney was particularly cold and, having known we would be out from early morning until late at night (mainly to stay to watch the final Christmas show which was frozen themed and utterly amazing) I wanted to be super cosy yet stylish, hopefully I pulled it off. This FAB coat is from Missguided and is so unbelievably snuggly, it even withstood some hideous rain and came out looking nearly just as new, a must have in my opinion. I got the coat in an size that gave it a nice oversized look, but I'm sure it would look just as cute more tight-fitted also! I'm also loving these ripped grey jeans, I can't say I've ever worn a grey jean before, but after today I'm well and truly converted, a nice change to my usual black.

GUESS WHO'S BACK

Hello my lovelies, I'm back!! So sorry for the random disappearing act I appear to have done for the past fortnight, all can be explained. Those of you that follow me on twitter and/or Instagram will know that hastily after finishing university for Christmas, myself and my lovely boyfriend shot straight off to Paris for a sight-seeing and festive fun filled trip. I had the BEST time, literally the most amazing. From seeing the stunning sights of central Paris (going up the Eiffel tower and notre-dame were of course highlights, If not a little scary!) to taking a day trip to DISNEY, it was the most fabulous trip that's left me feeling uber festive if not a little sad to be back in Britain. As much fun as I had, and as nice as it was to have a welcome break away, I'm so glad to be back into taking outfit shots again as I have so much coming up to show you guys.

Today's look is a typical casual day for myself, thankfully the arctic weather has seemed to wear off for the last couple of days so I've been able to get away with not wearing great big winter coats. The eagle eyed of you may in fact recognise this cape to be a scarf I used in a previous post, it's so multi-wearable! I'm also wearing my new favourite over the knee boots. I spotted these beauts on a fellow blogger way back at fashion week, and was never able to get my hands on them until only last week! I'm obsessed with grey tones at the moment, so they're the perfect fit for me. If you're looking to purchase them, I would say they are a must at only twenty pounds (crazy I know!) but the only word of warning I have is that they are slightly wide around the knee/thigh area, so at certain angles they aren't the most flattering!! Look for good poses and all will be fine haha.

SILENT NIGHT

HAPPY DECEMBER EVERYONE! I'm so unbelievably excited that my favourite month of the year has arrived, the festivities will soon be beginning which gets me super giddy, I still act about 8 years old when it comes to Christmas, I still cant sleep on Christmas eve due to too much excitement! With that being said, I promise I will try and keep the Christmas jumpers to a minimum until a little closer the time, otherwise you'll be sick of seeing them. For now I thought I'd use a Christmas carol title (plus these outfits pics are kind of darker than usual, the light was just about leaving us!) to begin this fabulous month.

This look is a little different once again for me, I'm constantly trying to let my style evolve and be influenced by different outlets! I saw a super chic lady on tumblr the other day, who was rocking a cape as a scarf, and I thought to myself, well there's a nice different way to wear the seventeen million capes I have lying around. I personally think it works! Some people will probably hate the whole oversized on oversized look but I say the more oversized the better, anything to keep cosy! I'm also wearing this fab white duster coat, the thing I love about this jacket is that its made from a thicker material than the usual dusters, so its a little warmer which is a MUST for December.

ALL OVER THE OVERSIZED

In the current climate, there's nothing I love better than layering up and wearing big oversized jumpers! I'm constantly on the look out for different ways to wear my favourite styles, and more recently I thought i'd give the whole oversized on oversized look a try. It's safe to say I'll never go back!! I'm OBSESSED. There's just something about the silhouettes together that looks super classic and stylish, yet cosy warm all at the same time, the perfect combination.

I'm all for leather for autumn/winter, and was so pleased to find this leather look midi skirt beauty over on boohoo! I made a few cheeky purchases thanks to a lovely gift voucher that I picked up at the boohoo ss15 press day, so look out for those in the coming posts. I'm also completely obsessed with this jumper/top from Topshop, anything oversized and a ribbed knit is a yes in my book! It also comes in a beautiful burgundy, and oh so perfect black, so I'm sure I'll be back for more.
